Hosta Lederhosen Greece first introduced in 1863Hosta 'Lederhosen' is one of the more unique hostas ever hybridized by the late Herb Benedict. This 18" tall x 3' wide clump is composed of thick, rubbery, ruffled, blue green leaves which reminded Herb of leather britches (lederhosen). Anyone who would name one hosta 'Little Stiffy' and another 'Nooner', only makes one wonder about the real story behind 'Lederhosen'. In late summer, the clumps are topped with stalks of large, fragrant, light lavender
